Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Clean the mushrooms with a damp cloth to remove any dirt. Remove the stems and use a spoon to hollow out the caps, creating space for the stuffing.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the crab meat, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic, onion, cream cheese, mayonnaise, lemon juice, and Worcestershire sauce.
  3. Season the mixture with salt and pepper.
  4. Place the prepared mushrooms on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Spoon the crab stuffing mixture into each mushroom cap, pressing gently to pack the stuffing in.

  6. Bake the crab-stuffed mushrooms in the preheated oven for around 20–25 minutes.

Notes

Sauté the onions and garlic before mixing them into the stuffing. This step enhances their flavor and ensures they’re fully cooked.

Always use fresh lump crab meat for the best flavor. Canned crab meat works in a pinch but fresh makes a significant difference. For an extra layer of flavor, sprinkle some grated mozzarella or cheddar cheese on top of the stuffing before baking.
