Description
With just a handful of ingredients, you can prepare a delicious side in no time.
Ingredients
- Broccoli florets (1 lb): Fresh florets work best, but you can use frozen broccoli if needed.
- Olive oil (2 tbsp): Enhances flavor and helps achieve that crispy texture.
- Garlic (minced, 3 cloves): Adds a punch of savory flavor.
- Grated Parmesan cheese (¼ cup): Creates a delightful cheesy crust.
- Salt and pepper: Season to taste for balanced flavor.
Instructions
- Set your oven to 425°F (220°C).
-
Wash the broccoli thoroughly and pat it dry. Excess moisture can lead to steaming instead of roasting, so make sure the florets are as dry as possible.
-
Cut the broccoli into uniform-sized florets for even cooking.
-
In a large bowl, combine the broccoli florets, olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Toss the mixture until the florets are evenly coated
-
Spread the seasoned broccoli evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Avoid overcrowding the pan;
- Remove the tray from the oven. Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese generously over the broccoli.
- Return the tray to the oven and roast for an additional 5–7 minutes.
- The cheese will melt and create a delicious crust.
Notes
If you prefer an air fryer, you can easily adapt this recipe.
- Arrange the broccoli in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding.
- Cook for 10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through for even cooking.
- Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese over the broccoli, then cook for an additional 2–3 minutes until the cheese melts and browns slightly.
