Start by peeling and cubing your sweet potatoes. I like to keep them around 1-inch cubes so they cook evenly and crisp up nicely in the air fryer. Toss them into a bowl, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with your seasonings.
Give them a good toss so every cube is coated — this is what helps the edges caramelize.
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F for about 3 minutes. Don’t overcrowd — if your air fryer is smaller, cook in batches.
Air fry the sweet potatoes for 15–20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through. You’ll know they’re done when the edges are golden brown and a fork slides easily into the centers.
Once they’re done, transfer the sweet potatoes to a serving bowl. Sprinkle with extra salt if needed, or drizzle with a little maple syrup for a sweet-savory combo.
